Eindhoven University of Technology (TUE) is a research university specializing in engineering science and technology. Two groups within the university will participate in the Bio-HyPP project.
The Electromechanics and Power Electronics (EPE) group has proven expertise in the development of high-performance power converters and electromagnetic actuators. With its more than 50 staff members, strong ties with industry and high-end laboratory, EPE is a prominent research institution. In recent years the group has built considerable expertise in the field of high-speed machines and drives which will be put in use for developing the challenging electrical drive for the micro gas turbine.
The Dynamics and Control (D&C) group focus its research on modelling, analysis and control of mechanical and mechatronic systems. Nonlinear dynamics and control, acoustics and robotics are among the focal areas of the programme. Fundamental research is combined with numerical tools and supported by dedicated laboratory experiments.
